"life and death, energy and peace. If I stop today it was still worth it. Even the terrible mistakes that I made and would have unmade if I could. The pains that have burned me and scarred my soul, it was worth it, for having been allowed to walk where I've walked, which was from hell on earth, heaven on earth, back again, into, under, far in between, through it, and above." --Gia Carangi

The other day...I got to thinking about Soul-Mates. Can you be so connected with someone that they become an essential part of who you are? And do I or will I ever have one? Being a twenty-six year old single woman, with absolutely no prospects...you can easily begin to have a cynical view of the subject. Seeing your family and friends in love and so happy that they are gitty about their special someones can almost make you feel sick to your stomach. Don't get me wrong, you are so happy for them, but seeing this only reminds you of what you do not have. I know, I know...cry me a river, right? Then I realized, not only are soul-mates real, but I have three! My best friends...Summer, Jenni, and Jennifer. These girls know me better than anyone and I'm really beginning to think they are the loves of my life. We have an unconditional love for one another. Therefore, in the words of Mr. Big, "Any man would be lucky to come in fourth." So, when I'm given the 500th wedding or baby photo to look at with my other family and friends. I tell myself how lucky I am that God has protected my heart and given me these three amazing people to share my life with. I do hope to someday find that special guy to be my mate for life, but until then I'm having a great time with the soul-mates I already have.
I wanted to take this opportunity to say how excited I am about being an Aunt again! I already have two step-nephews and step-niece between my two step-sisters Mandy and Jennifer. Mandy and her husband Patrick have two kids...Tanner Patrick Thornton (aka Tanner man) and Catherine Joy Thornton (aka baby Cate). Jennifer and her husband Obed have one so far...Troy Justice Ellis. However, I do expect him to have brothers or sisters in the near future. Our little man Troy just turned 1 and it was a great party!! I really want to spend more time with these precious little ones so that I can be a real part of their
lives. Children grow up so very fast and I have felt very convicted recently that besides my relationship with God, my family is the most important thing in my life. Because, in the end it is really all we have.

n to my New Kids on the Block tape. Joey was my favorite. Dressing up in my poodle skirt 50's outfit to watch Grease. Having a pair of mc hammer pants. That were tie dyed and had "Can't Touch This" on the butt. Getting a playhouse for my 5th Birthday. Watching Miami Vice with my Stepdad. And riding in a limo with my mom on her 30th birthday.
